Finally there’s a gif for this.
As Bobby Seale said “No more verbal sincerity … We learn from the past” …
He was so aware… and fine. Gosh.
Yes lawd yes. How many times do we have to repeat ourselves and get ignored before we just start swinging?
Ya know, every time I see the verbal police, the tone police or the “You were making a good point until you started to cuss” police, I think of Martin Luther King Jr.
No, I’m not kidding. I think of him because he is the guy so many of you like to refer to. It doesn’t matter how WRONG you are about who he was or what his purpose was. That is never a concern for most of you. See: Morgan Freeman. None the less, I think of MLK because in your eyes and the eyes of many like you, he was a “Peaceful talker” and he chose to use his words in a way that YOU deem fit. (At least, that is what your history book told you) Now, this man, who in your incorrect summation, used words the way YOU deem acceptable…was SHOT.
He was killed for using his words the way YOU think he should have. He was killed for being (in your false memory) one of the “Reasonable ones.” Thing is, so was Malcolm X. Thing is, so was…well, a BUNCH of Black people who either spoke “Peacefully” or fought with everything they had.
If the outcome is the same, why am I to spare YOUR feelings? If the outcome is the same, why is it that YOU feel I should speak and fight in the manner that YOU, the oppressor, deem acceptable?
FUCK YOU. With the caps lock on and with no remorse or mince of words.
FUCK YOU.
